PENAMPANG: With the African Swine Fever (ASF) taking its toll on the wild boar and pig population, this may not be the best time to indulge in consuming pork. However, slaughtering pigs is still common in villages and many Kadazan Dusun, Murut and Rungus want the tradition to continue.They expect such slaughtering to resume once the ASF that is not dangerous to humans, has ended.
