Kota Kinabalu: Sabah FC beat MSN FAM 4-1 in their second friendly match at UiTM Stadium on Tuesday.
Veteran striker Bobby Gonzales opened the scoring as early as in the second minute but they were given a shock in the 26th minute when Ismat Imran equalised for MSN FAM.
However, the team managed to restore their lead with two quick goals within a minute of each other at the restart with goals from Saddil Ramdani in the 48th minute and Amri Yahya’s a minute later, while another import player Levy Clement added the fourth with four minutes remaining.
Earlier, Sabah also had a comfortable win over Kuching FC with a 3-0 scoreline in the first friendly held at the Cheras Stadium on Sunday.
They took a two-goal lead at half time through Maxsius Musa and Saddil Ramdani before Randy Baruh added another in the second half.
The two matches were meant for coach Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto to rectify their weaknesses as they prepared for the coming Super League match against Kuala Lumpur United FC at the KL Stadium on April 4.
