BEAUFORT: Sipitang emerged champions of the West Coast South zone of the Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin Cup Under-18 football tournament beating Kuala Penyu 4-1.

In the other match, Beaufort defeated Membakut to finish as runners-up. All the matches involving the four teams were held at Beaufort Sports Complex under strict standard operating procedures (SOP) without spectators to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The prizes were presented to the teams by State Local Government and Housing Assistant Minister Datuk Isnin Aliasnih and also in attendance was Safa Beaufort president Datuk Abd Razak Sulaiman.

The competition which aims to select teams for future state-level competitions ran from Saturday and Sunday.
