DEPUTY Chief Minister-cum-Sabah Umno Chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin (second left) presented donations to Umno division heads at Sabah Umno building recently.

Some 25 Umno divisions received the kurma (dates) contribution for distribution to Umno branches in the respective divisions. Bung, who is also the Works Minister, said the donation is an annual exercise aimed at celebrating the arrival of Ramadan.

He said the celebration of the Ramadan is different this time because of the government’s decision to maintain the Movement Control Order (MCO) so as to curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

“It is likely that we will not be able to hold joint breaking-of-fast either at State or divisional levels due to compliance with the MCO because we want to curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus,” he said.
