Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Satta) welcomes the stimulus package announced by the Federal Government last month under the People and Economic Strategic Programme (Pemerkasa) to encourage domestic tourism.Its Chairman, Dato Seri Winston Liaw (pic) said the programme also gives exemption to tourism tax and service tax to encourage consumers to participate in hotels’ cheaper offer whilst individuals buying tour packages from travel agents registered with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) gets tax relief of RM1,000.
