Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded 143 new Covid-19 cases today and a new cluster at the Sibuga Temporary Detention Centre in Sandakan, said Datuk Masidi Manjun.
"As predicted, new cases in Sandakan rose to 57 today with a new cluster at PTS Sibuga," said Sabah's spokesman for the crisis on Twitter.
"Tawau remains high with 35, followed by Lahad Datu with 22 cases. KK registered 14, almost all from the [religious secondary] school cluster. No new cases in 17 districts. Sabah total: 143."
The Sibuga detention facility first had a cluster in November last year.
