Kota Kinabalu: Sabah has temporarily banned travellers from five countries including India and the US starting tomorrow.
The State Government had taken heed of a World Health Organization (WHO) alert on Covid-19 variants, said Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor.
“As a precautionary measure, we will not allow travellers from India, France, the US, South Africa and Brazil to enter Sabah,” he said in a statement today.
However, Sabahans and their children are allowed to return from these countries, but they have to undergo the mandatory 14-day isolation at gazetted quarantine centres, added Hajiji.
