TAWAU: A one-year-old was among nine illegal immigrants detained by the Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) in two separate vehicles at Kg Sri Pantai, here, Monday.A 21-year-old local and a 36-year-old foreigner who acted as transporters were also detained in the 6pm inspection.
Esscom Commander, Datuk Ahmad Fuad Othman, said the arrests was made by three Esscom personnel and 11 from the General Operations Force and marine police on Op Cegah Pati Daratan duty.
