Latest Covid-19 cluster spanning over two districts involves Kunak secondary school: Masidi
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s new Covid-19 in Kunak and Lahad Datu involves SMK Madai whose index patient is a supermarket employee, said spokesman for the crisis Datuk Masidi Manjun.

Contact tracing revealed the index patient’s 11 housemate is also positive and is believed to have been infected by his or her mother-in-law who had crossed a district boundary to Kunak to visit her child, a teacher at the Kunak school, who also later tested positive.

Later, three hostel students tested positive to the RTK-Ag and two others to the RT-PCR tests, said Masidi in a statement.

“Also detected were two family members of a hostel student. A second sample screening confirmed six SMK Madai hostel students tested positive to the RTK-Ag test,” he said.
