Kota Kinabalu: The many bouquets of flowers placed at the site of the Pillars of Sabah 3.0, a Welfare Department office premises that was destroyed in a fire after having survived WWII aerial bombing runs as a historical colonial heritage building, have dried out.“So have the tears of some sensitive artists who had laboured out of love to adorn the 31 concrete pillars and wall remnants with cheerful arts, but the abrupt brutish whitewash of the art works to the public is reminiscent of Japanese Imperial Army highhandedness in imposition,” said Janet Wong, a florist.
