Kota Kinabalu: It was a case of bad nerves during the question and answer session of the recent Kota Marudu Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan (UNK) pageant which led Adriana Joel (pic) to state that Mat Salleh – who is reportedly not of Sabah origin but challenged British colonial rule in the early 1900s – was the Kadazan Dusun Rungus Murut (KDMR) community’s first Huguan Siou (paramount leader).
A video of the 25-year-old giving the shock reply went viral soon after the competition ended.
