Kota Kinabalu: The Borneo Evangelical Church or SIB has prohibited its followers from involvement in animal sacrifice rituals to be conducted in conjunction with Pesta Kaamatan in Sabah, a letter from the church states.

In the April 28, 2021 letter sighted by Daily Express, signed by the church’s Secretary-General Pastor Thenny M. Ali and addressed to area leaders, the church said the rituals are against Christianity.
