PUTATAN: The restrained festive mood due to the Covid-19 was made even more sombre for residents at Kg Meruntum when fire destroyed some 30 houses in the water village on Saturday.The blaze was so huge that the smoke could be seen all the way from Bukit Kionsom in Inanam. It was the second major fire reported in Putatan, the last was in Jalan Lok Kawi Lama-Kg Dumpil where 17 houses were destroyed last month.
