Kota Kinabalu: City Hall (DBBK) is investigating a viral video depicting a youngster taking a dip, seemingly in his underwear, in the fountain near the DBKK headquarters at Jalan Bandaran, recently.

The 0.57 seconds video showed the man believed to be in his 20s with his friends and the video recorder saying “he wants to take a bath in the pool, I will record you”.

The man is then seen removing his shirt, shoes and pants before climbing the fence and jumping in. City Hall Enforcement Director Abdul Mukti Muchlish said a police report was lodged, Wednesday. “The issue seems trivial but if not curbed, such perpetrators will do more dangerous things in future.”

In Jan 2019, a couple believed to be tourists skinny-dipped in Gaya Street fountain, their topless and hugging photos went viral. At other times, street migrant kids were also fond of taking a dip in the fountain.
