PUTATAN: The Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS), Putatan Chapter used a special cookware, the Al-Munif pot (pic), to prepare food for the Kampung Meruntum fire victims.

Its Co-ordinator Zainuddin Moksil said the pot, owned by MRCS Sabah, originated from Saudi Arabia.

“At its maximum capacity, the Al-Munif pot could cook rice for 500 individuals in an hour using only one gas stove,” he said at the temporary shelter in Sri Serigai Hall, here.
