Kota Kinabalu: The recently-established Malaysia Institute of Planners (MIP) Sabah branch proposed to the State Planning Council on ways to expedite development plan submissions within the technical compliant framework, among others.Its President Alijus Sipil, who is a registered town planner, said Sabah’s shortage of town planners and limited employment opportunities in the profession have hampered development opportunities and setback the competitiveness necessary to attract investment into the State.
