TAWAU: Some 4,000kg of mangrove crabs worth RM80,000 suspected smuggled in from a neighbouring country were seized by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) near the Sg Tawau estuary around 8am on Tuesday.

Tawau Maritime Zone Director Captain V Siva Kumar said the crabs which were loaded on a local cargo boat were intercepted and inspected by the KM Kapas patrol team (pic) which carried out “Ops Cegah Pati Selatan”.
