Man escapes Lintas car fire
The car which burst into flames.
Kota Kinabalu: A man, aged between 30s and 40s, escaped unscathed when his Proton Saga FLX burst into flames in front of the Hong Leong Bank in Lintas Plaza, here, Wednesday.

Passers-by claimed to have initially seen smoke coming from the car’s engine which moments later went up in flames, about 6.30pm.

The car was completely destroyed by the time the Fire and Rescue team arrived at the scene.

Meanwhile, in PENAMPANG, a 25-year-old sustained minor injuries after his lorry skidded and crashed near Nambazan along Jalan Papar Lama, Wednesday.

Firefighters arrived at the scene about 3.45pm and the man was sent to the hospital.
