“Most of the parents have lost their jobs or part of their income due to the Covid-19 and Movement Control Order (MCO) which resulted in the delay or inability to pay their children’s school fees.
“All the school’s revenue comes from public and government donations to sustain the operation.
“Before the pandemic, the school was able to organise fundraising activities to cover the yearly expenditures,” he said in a statement.
As such, he said the State Government allocation provided a huge relief to the school to alleviate their financial distress.
He said the school board would like to thank Chief Minister Datuk Seri Haji Hajiji Noor for his concern and support for the school and hoped that the aid will help address the needs of the school.
He also thanked the special officer to the Chief Minister, Lo Su Fui, for his assistance in expediting the disbursement of funds to Chinese schools in the interior.
