TAWAU: A Proton Saga was razed in an incident that occurred at Jalan Tanjung Batu Laut, Tanah Merah at 7.58pm on Friday.

Tawau Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Chief Julius John Stephen Jr said a team of six personnel and officers led by PBK II Rosley Suyut and two vehicles rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 8pm via MERS999.

According to him, upon arrival at the scene, his team carried out an extinguishing operation using a single hose reel from the source the machinery tank.

“The fire was brought under control at 8.10pm and ended at 8.17pm after it was ensured that there was no more danger,” he said, adding that no victims were involved in the incident.
