Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has handed over RM1,000 cash aid to heads of households affected by floods in Pitas and Kota Marudu.

Hajiji today gave cash aid and food baskets to 94 heads of households in Pitas and 132 in Kota Marudu, according to a statement.

He said among the assistance given by the Federal Government are RM1,000 cash for families evacuated from their flooded homes and RM10,000 for those who lost their loved ones in the floods.

"The GRS government cares and will not abandon the flood victims. We will provide assistance for them."
