TONGOD: Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister, Datuk Jafry Ariffin, has requested for a Tongod District Tourism Action Committee to be formed to support rural tourism development efforts, especially community-based tourism.

He said this committee, when established, would assist the Ministry in planning and implementing development programmes, including upgrading basic tourism infrastructures to make them more competitive.
