KKJA appoints Permanent Honorary Advisors, Advisors

Kota Kinabalu: Kota Kinabalu Journalists Association (KKJA) appointed Asia Times proprietor Datuk Tiong Tan Hua and Sabah Publishing House Director Datuk Clement Yeh as the association’s Permanent Honorary Advisors. 

Similarly, KKJA also appointed KTS Trading Sdn Bhd Sabah Area Operations Manager Wong Kee Mee and Daily Express Editor-in-Chief James Sarda, as the association’s Advisors. 

The certificate of appointment was recently presented by KKJA Chairman Jimmy Goh who thanked them for their support to the association over the years.

Jimmy said as leaders in the local newspaper industry, all four have a responsibility to shoulder to ensure conventional media can continue to gain a foothold in the current times.  

“Their tireless work is greatly appreciated and admired,” said Jimmy. 

Jimmy said KKJA would continue to be the strong backing of the press, while maintaining the credibility of news and ensure conventional media can go further while cooperating with the transformation of times.

Also present were KKJA Deputy Chairwoman Nancy Lai, Vice Chairmen Peter Kwan and Alex Ong, Secretary Teo Jinn Jiun, Treasurer Yvonne Ho, Liaison Officer Chu Ping Tyng, Training Officer Sherell Jeffrey and Committee Member Larry Ralon.
