KUNAK: The Council of Sabah Islamic NGOs – Concern’s Stateless Persons Special Task Force Committee has offered to assist the government in resolving citizenship issues, particularly in Sabah.

While applauding Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri’s concern and help in addressing the citizenship issue that Rohana Abdullah and her adoptive mother Chee Hoi Lan are facing, its Chairman Sainuri Yahmin said the issue is comparable to what happened in Sabah, where there are an estimated 800,000 stateless persons, according to numerous media reports.
