Kota Kinabalu: Another boarding school Covid-19 cluster was detected in Kota Marudu as Sabah's infectivity rate rose above the national average today.
According to an update shared by Sabah's spokesman for the crisis Datuk Masidi Manjun, the index patient in the Jalan Kebulian cluster at SMK Kota Marudu was a Form-Five student residing at the school.
Close-contact screening found seven new cases in the cluster which now had 16 cases in total.
Meanwhile, Sabah's infectivity rate increased to 1.54, higher than the national average of 1.32.
