Kota Kinabalu: The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) said it will give undivided and unconditional support once the 10-party Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition has been registered.Party President Datuk Chin Su Phin (pic) said the establishment of the GRS as a formal coalition would not only change the local political arena but also strengthen unity among Sabahans.
He said Sabah should emulate the example demonstrated by
neighbouring Sarawak whereby local-based political parties are united and strong.
“The voices of our two states in East Malaysia will be stronger at the Federal political level... It will mean better leverage when fighting for our rights in many aspects,” he said.
The party also lauded and welcomed Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor’s recent pronouncement acknowledging that registering GRS coalition is one way of ensuring there will be no hiccups in serving the recent election mandate.
The 10 parties in GRS are PPBM or Bersatu, Umno, Star, PBS, PBRS, SAPP, MIC, MCA and Gerakan.
