SANDAKAN: A 68-year-old man was found dead outside Menara MPS, here, Wednesday and is believed to have fallen off the building.
Acting District Chief Police Supt. Abdul Fuad Abdul Malek said police rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 11.20am. He said the public who saw the body from Level Three of the building alerted the police.
“Initial investigation shows the man had jumped off the building from Level 13, based on the slipper and walking stick owned by the deceased found at the area,” he said.
Prior to the incident, the deceased was last seen around 6.30am. He was seen coming out with his walking stick from the public toilet at the ground floor of the Menara MPS.
“Investigation shows there was no foul play in the death of the man whose body has been brought to Forensic Unit of the Duchess of Kent Hospital for post-mortem,” said Abdul Fuad.
