Kota Kinabalu: Grocery shopping at Kojasa Mart, an initiative of Qhazanah Sabah Bhd (QSB) the state government’s investment arm - is now even more convenient with the launching of a dedicated delivery service for its customers.

The delivery service is operated by Kojax Sdn Bhd, another QSB initiative - was launched by QSB chairman Datuk Seri Dr. Salleh Said Keruak at the Kojasa Mart in the Anjung Selera commercial centre in Likas, last Thursday (Feb 10).

QSB Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer (Investment) Joehary Ismail said Kojasa Mart customers need to pay a minimum charge to have their purchases delivered to them.

He said Kojax delivery service would be available for customers within a 20km radius of the Kojasa Mart outlets.

Joehary said the Kojax delivery service would go hand in hand with an online order system that was currently being developed.

“Retail customers can for example place an order for a 10kg packet of Kojasa Mart rice, packet of frozen kuih kelupis or curry puffs and chilli sauce from the comfort of their homes and have those delivered for a small fee.

“The online order system and Kojax delivery however would be particularly useful for small sundry shop operators who could make their wholesale purchases without having to leave their premises. “Many of them are owner operators and leaving their shops would be an inconvenience. This is how we can help small scale businesses with reasonable prices of goods and convenience for them,” he said.

Joehary said Kojax was looking at eventually venturing into food and parcel deliveries and other mobile services as well.

“Among the possibilities is a cleaning service,” he said in adding that Kojax is the result of QSB teaming up with local entrepreneurs Azizul Lemin and Ardzed Kachong Maarof, co-founders of the delivery service.

Also present were QSB Executive Director Mohd Shukor Abdul Mumin, chairman of Kojasa Holding Berhad Dato Baror’ @ Baharul bin Sawi, political secretary and public relation secretary to Minister of Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) Senator Noraini Idris and Romeo Ansow and top management of QSB and Kojasa Holding Berhad.
