SANDAKAN: A former manager of a transport company claimed trial to using fake document for bus transportation rental service claims amounting to RM11,200 for the Benchmark 5S visit programme for staff of Institut Latihan Perindustrian (ILP) Sandakan.
Chan Haw Fou, 35, made the plea before Sessions Court Judge Abu Bakar Manat.
Chan is accused of using the fake claim invoice dated Nov 26, 2014 for the bus rental service that was used during the programme.
The fake document was allegedly produced to the ILP Financial Division of Human Resources Department on Dec 13, 2014 at Mile 5, Jalan Sibuga, here.
The court set April 14 for mention and released Chan on a bail of RM10,000 with RM6,000 deposited in a local surety.
Chan was also to report to Malaysia Anti- Corruption Commission (MACC)’s office once in two months and his passport, if any, to be impounded by the court until the disposal of his case.
Earlier, MACC Prosecuting Officer Dzulkarnain Rousan Hasbi suggested RM10,000 bail in a local surety with several conditions.
Counsel Sylyester Kuan asked for the bail amount to be reduced.
