Kota Kinabalu: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) is celebrating its 37th anniversary moderately this year, with strict compliance with the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).
PBS Information Chief Datuk Julita Majungki said although it is just a moderate celebration, it will be meaningful as it serves as a reminder that after 37 years, PBS remains relevant in the State and national politics.
“PBS is the largest and longest surviving local party in Sabah,” she said in a statement, Friday.
“Since the party’s inception in 1985, PBS has gone through thick and thin, and yet, we survived the turbulence. We are here to stay.”
She added that PBS President Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili will be officiating the anniversary dinner today (Saturday) at the Hakka Hall, here.
Invitees are limited to 150 guests, comprising top PBS leadership and branch division chiefs.
