Kota Kinabalu: Malaysia's first airport library has opened at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport.

State Library director Fatimah Abdillah told the NST the library is located at the departure hall and can accommodate up to 12 people at a time although Covid-19 protocols allow only six for the time being.

"This is to provide a place for passengers to enjoy reading materials, getting updated information or do some reading while waiting for their flight," she told the national paper.

"The library offers millions of digital media collections, 23 titles of magazines with a total of 200 magazines, some books and children's toys.
