Kota Kinabalu: Former Kota Kinabalu MP Datuk Dr Hiew King Cheu called on Sabah’s Federal Agriculture and Food Industries Minister Datuk Ronald Kiandee to increase and systemise Malaysia’s food industries away from monopolistic or crony control of powerful interests that contribute to price inflation.Hiew pointed out that Malaysia imports nearly 60 per cent of its food needs. This shows that food security is a major issue.
