36 pints of blood collected in Keningau

KENINGAU: The blood donation campaign organised by the Keningau Kelana A Scouts Association in collaboration with the Keningau Hospital Blood Transfusion Unit managed to collect 36 pints from the association’s members and visitors held at Bataras Hypermarket here

The campaign, which started at 10 am to 1.30 pm on Monday was conducted by eleven staff from the Keningau Hospital Blood Transfusion unit led by the Unit’s Medical Officer, Dr Phon Kit Yin. It was organised by the Kelana Scouts Association in collaboration with the Unit, was a step towards attracting as many donors as possible in the district.

Deputy Chairman of the Kelana A Scouts Association and Organising Chairman of the campaign, Rahmat Masduki, said it was aimed at helping Keningau Hospital increase the blood supply for patients who need blood assistance.
