Kota Kinabalu: Travellers entering Sabah will no longer need to fill in the e-Health Declaration Form (e-HDF), effective immediately, said Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun. “The State Government has agreed with the State Health Department’s recommendation to abolish filling up the e-HDF form for any individuals who have arrived at the State’s borders.
“Individuals entering Sabah will only need to show their vaccination and risk status on the MySejahtera application,” he said in a statement, Monday.
Sabah’s caseload dipped further to 622 on Monday from 845 on Sunday, while five deaths were recorded, with one each in Tawau, Kota Belud, Kota Kinabalu, Papar and Sandakan.
Masidi said the dip in cases was attributed to a lower number of cases recorded in Kota Kinabalu, Penampang and Tuaran, while a total of 19 districts recorded a decrease in cases. “Four districts recorded a significant decrease, namely Penampang (-47), Tuaran (-39), Kota Kinabalu (-35) and Tawau (-33),” he said.
Overall, he said, Sabah’s Covid-19 situation is stabilising with 13 districts recording single-digit cases, while only Kota Kinabalu recorded a three-digit caseload (192).
“However, sporadic infections remain high at 64 per cent, which means risk of transmission is still high in public places,” he added.
No new clusters were identified, while the Jalan Gudon Cluster in Kota Kinabalu was officially closed on Monday.
“There are 25 active clusters in Sabah to date,” Masidi added.
The majority of cases are mild, with 612 out of 622 cases being category one and two infections, which is 98.39 per cent.
“Two cases are in category three, two in category four and six in category five,” he added.
Some 1,647 Covid-19 patients have been discharged from the hospital while 901 patients are currently receiving treatment at hospitals, low risk quarantine and treatment centres (PKRCs), prisons/temporary detention centres and private facilities.
On Sabah’s immunisation programme, Masidi said 7,232 individuals were vaccinated on Mar 13, of which 5,663 were adults while 105 were teenagers and 1,464 were children.
As of March 13, he said a total of 2,403,761 individuals have completed both doses, of which 76.85 per cent were adults, while 2,541,511 have gotten their first dose, of which 78.41 per cent were adults.
Masidi added that a total of 331,950 teenagers have received their first dose, while 315,971 have completed both doses, which is 74.14 per cent of the teenage population. A total of 79,500 children have received their first dose.
