TAMPARULI: The community is urged to continue to preserve and continue the customs inherited from their ancestors.
Tamparuli Assemblyman, Datuk Jahid Jahim, said the customs left by the previous generation should not be underestimated but be preserved.
“All the previous customs have their own meaning, which we can use as a guide and reference in the future,” he said.
He said this when officiating at the Poulakan Adat Poulakan Kuburan Kinopokungan Kg Kapa/Bawang, at the Balai Muhibbah, here, Sunday.
He said such hereditary customs are priceless and should be maintained from generation to generation.
“This is historical because and can be the legacy of future generations,” he said.
Earlier, Kg Bawang Village Chief Peturus Simon Kinsui appealed to the families to brief relatives on the implementation of the customs.
Meanwhile, the Organising Chairman Jahem Biaron said the four grave sites were identified to be that of the late Limbawan Lampada, Lingkin Linbawan, Durim Kumbaron and Bontut.
