Kota Kinabalu: Warisan President Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said the party is considering a "smart partnership" with other parties to boost the party's standing at the state level.

"We need to open our card in order to strengthen the party.  We understand that being alone is difficult," he said at a press conference after Warisan's Supreme Council Meeting on Saturday at the party's headquarters in Kolombong, here.

Shafie cited a partnership notion similar to that in Sarawak which is not affiliated with any party but works closely with the federal government of the day.

He said that Warisan is not interested in forming a smart partnership that focuses on one particular group of people.
