Kota Kinabalu: Filipinos in Sabah are at a loss to understand why their compatriots in other countries are able to return home, including in Macau and Bangkok, but not Sabah.The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported on Monday that some 256 Filipinos from Macau and 53 other Kababayans (countrymen) in Thailand have been brought back.
The DFA said this meant 5,761 Filipinos have been repatriated from Macau through 29 repatriation flights facilitated by the Philippine Consulate in Macau since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020.
