Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s defence has been improved and made more resilient and durable since the Kampung Tanduo, Lahad Datu incursion in 2013, particularly with the installation of the Malaysian Fifth Infantry Brigade.In addition, the State has received new military assets, particularly in Sandakan, Lahad Datu, Tawau, Kota Belud and Kota Kinabalu.
“Since the intrusion, the Malaysian Armed Forces has strengthened its presence by increasing the number of soldiers and assets in Sabah,” said Fifth Infantry Brigade Commander Brigadier General Saiful Bahari Zainol.
