KOTA KINABALU: Ramadan bazaars in the City will run for a month beginning Sunday, from 2pm-7pm daily in designated locations, said Mayor Datuk Noorliza Awang Alip.
The locations are Lintasan Deasoka (Gaya Street), Indah Permai, Sembulan, Tanjung Aru (in front of the Daily Express’ building), Inanam night market, Inanam Point night market, Manggatal night market, Kingfisher night market, the boardwalk behind Marriott Hotel, University Apartment area, Wisma Merdeka, Asia City, Taman Putera Jaya, Metro Town, Wawasan Plaza, and Bataras Kolombong.
“As such, some of the parking lots will be used by traders beginning April 3-May 2,” Noorliza said in a statement posted on the City Hall’s official
Facebook page, Sunday.
“To this end, several roads will be closed from April 3-May 2, from 1pm-7.30pm.”
The public, she said, are advised to use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion in the involved areas.
Traders, organisers and visitors to the bazaars are also reminded to comply with the set standard operating procedures (SOPs), and any violation of SOP may be subject to action, she said.
