Kota Kinabalu: Former Attorney-General Tan Sri Tommy Thomas wants an explanation as to how and why payment of the annual cession money of RM5,300 to heirs of the defunct Sulu Sultanate was stopped.

He said the stopping of this payment had somewhat contributed to the international courts awarding a RM62.59 billion fine to the government for the “violation of this treaty.”
