KUNAK: Traders and visitors to the Ramadan Bazaar here were urged to adhere to SOPs when carrying out businesses in public areas.
Kunak District Council Public Health Committee Chairman Suhaimi Atal said the public needs to pay attention to the recommended health aspects that must be complied with.
“This includes compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), such as wearing facemasks, physical distancing and other relevant rules recommended by the Ministry of Health to traders and visitors to the bazaar,” he told Daily Express when met in a programme of meet the traders at two locations in the township here.
Also present at the programme were Kunak District Council Deputy Chairman Khalid Harun, staff and members of the District Council Enforcement, as well as the Kunak Health Department inspectorate unit.
Suhaimi, who is also the councillor of Kunak District Council, said the traders been given briefings on aspects of maintaining hygiene, including food handling to consumers.
