Sandakan stalls damaged by strong winds
The Ramadan stalls damaged in one of the bazaar in Sandakan.
SANDAKAN: Heavy rain and strong winds that hit the district Saturday afternoon caused many Ramadan bazaar traders to suffer losses.Dozens of stalls at several Ramadan bazaar sites were badly damaged with umbrellas blown away around 4.30pm, while their items for sale were strewn all over the road.

The strong winds also damaged the zinc roofs of some houses.

Meanwhile, the affected traders in the Gum-Gum area would receive a donation of RM500 cash vouchers from Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad.
