Kota Kinabalu: Carlsberg Smooth Draught delivers six aesthetically designed special-edition cans and bottles this year to honour the pride of Sabah and Sarawak, building on the popularity of its limited-edition packaging for the Gawai and Kaamatan Festivals last year.The vibrant mural that wraps around each product focuses on bringing people together to appreciate and share the abundant art and culture of Borneo’s magnificent islands.

The “Sabah and Sarawak Pride” package, which features six distinct icons in brilliant colours, sublimely enhances the lush local nature and rich culture in an illustrated composition, exhibiting a masterpiece of contemporary art and beer.
The imaginative artworks include Sabah’s Orangutan, breathtaking mountain, and Rafflesia, as well as Sarawak’s Longhouse, Hornbill, and Sape.
This ad, appropriately titled “Raikan Kebanggaan Sabah dan Sarawak,” gives honour and acknowledgment to the inhabitants’ lovely culture, extraordinary animals, and amazing natural beauties.
These distinctive Carlsberg Smooth Draught products, available in 320ml cans and 580ml bottles, are created particularly for Carlsberg consumers in Sabah and Sarawak and will be released in three phases through island-wide consumer promotions.

The first two designs were unveiled in March, followed by two more in time for the next Gawai and Kaamatan festivals, and the final two in the fourth quarter of the year.
“Just as Sabah and Sarawak are known for their diverse people, languages, traditions, and festivities, so is Carlsberg, a brand that embraces and pays respect to the distinction that the locals so proudly hold,” said Stefano Clini, Managing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia.

“Our first-of-its-kind festive cans, released in conjunction with the Gawai and Kaamatan festivals last year, received such a warm welcome. This year, we wanted to take things a step further by turning some of the city’s most well-known figures into pieces of art, using our products as the canvas,” Stefano said.
From March to May, exciting consumer promotions will give beer enthusiasts in Sabah and Sarawak the chance to win a brand-new Samsung A22 worth RM899 when they purchase RM90 worth of Carlsberg beers in a single receipt at selected bars and pubs.
Limited-edition t-shirts, available in two collector designs, are also available with any purchase of 12 big bottles of Carlsberg Danish Pilsner or Carlsberg Smooth Draught in local coffee shops and food courts.
Customers who buy two 6-can packs of Carlsberg Danish Pilsner or Carlsberg Smooth Draught from super and hypermarkets will receive RM5 GrabPay Credit, or if they want to buy a carton, they will receive RM10 GrabPay Credit.
Customers who purchase any two cans of Carlsberg Danish Pilsner or Carlsberg Smooth Draught in participating convenience stores will be entered into a draw to win up to RM88 in GrabPay credit.
