Kota Kinabalu: Challenges experienced by plantations, the progress of oil palm replanting, and the construction of electric fencing were among the topics covered during the inaugural committee meeting involving government agencies and plantation owners to resolve the human-elephant conflict in the Kalabakan.More than half of the 10 plantation representatives who attended the meeting said they had begun constructing electric fencing around their respective areas, while one expressed a desire to do so but was awaiting a decision from their management.
