Kota Kinabalu: The State Government should consider providing sea transport as an alternative for Sabahans residing in the peninsula who wish to return home for Hari Raya Aidilftiri.This was proposed by Kuamut Assemblyman Datuk Masiung Banah, following the exorbitant price hike of domestic flight tickets from the Peninsula to Sabah and Sarawak recently.
He said, although the proposal to provide sea transport was never made before, it should be done every festive season to help Sabahans in other States, especially those from the B40 group.
