Kota Kinabalu: NVLT Nabawan, Luton FC Tambunan and Kepayan FC teams are the final three teams to have booked their places in the quarter-finals of the KDM Malaysia Cup Mix-Veteran Football Championship 2022.
The final Group B matches held over the weekend saw NVLT defeat Tambadau Kiulu 4-1 and lost 0-1 to Luton FC, but NVLT still progressed as group winners together with Luton who finished as runners-up, while Kepayan also confirmed their ticket as Group D runners-up behind Tuaran TSV after a 2-1 win over TB Mix-Vet Keningau in their final group match. The other four teams in the quarter-finals are Tenom Veteran and Papar Veteran from Group A, NABT Kota Kinabalu and KDM Penampang from Group C.
The quarter-finals will begin tomorrow (Saturday) with NVLT Nabawan against Kepayan FC at Keningau Prison Field at 3.30pm followed by the match between Tenom Veteran and KDM Penampang at Keningau Stadium at 7.30pm.
On Sunday, Tuaran TSV will take on Luton FC at Keningau Stadium at 8.30pm while Papar and NABT will play each other at UMS Stadium at 9pm.
