Rotary Clubs climbing Mount Kinabalu to raise funds for polio eradication
Joniston flagging off the Mt Kinabalu climbing Rotarians.
Kota Kinabalu: Rotary Clubs in Sabah, Sarawak, Labuan, Brunei, Johor, Melaka and Singapore under Rotary District 3310 comprising 70 clubs embarked on a fundraising campaign by climbing Mount Kinabalu from April 22 to 23, to help to eradicate polio.

Assistant Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Environment Datuk Joniston Bangkuai flagged off the 30 participants aged between 15 to 69 years old at the Hyatt Regency, here, Thursday, led by Rotary District 3310 District Governor Dolly Yeap who is making her first Mount Kinabalu climb.

The team will be escorted by veteran Mount Kinabalu Rotarian climber Dr K Ravi Mandalam who is making his 57th climb, who Dolly said, “has been very supportive of our PolioPlus programmes.”
