Star to refine roles of ministries 
Kota Kinabalu: Various issues involving the functions of ministries, departments and government agencies at the State and Federal levels will be refined by the 28 bureaus of Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) Sabah which was launched by President Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey G Kitingan on Wednesday.

Star Information Chief Jalumin Bayogoh, who was appointed to head the Information Bureau, said the essence of each bureau’s approach would be shared with the information division of the parties in the Sabah People’s Coalition (GRS).

“We will hold an Information Colloquium by inviting information representatives of the parties in the GRS after Hari Raya Aidilfitri,” he said.

Jalumin added that the framework for organising the colloquium will be discussed with GRS Information Chief Datuk Joniston Bangkuai to seek blessings from GRS Chairman who is also Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor.

According to Jalumin, the colloquium aims to consolidate GRS issues in providing effective services to the people and further provide input on common issues to face the next general election.

At the presentation of letters of service to the heads of Star bureaus, Dr Jeffrey who is also the Deputy Chief Minister asked all bureaus to approach the resolution of issues based on the role of the relevant ministries, departments and agencies.

Jalumin, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the Rural Development Corporation (KPD), informed that after updating the structure and framework of the Star Information Bureau, his party will strengthen the cooperation network with the information bureaus of the parties in GRS.
