Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Football Club’s Indonesian import player Saddil Ramdani will get to join the Indonesian Under-23 squad in their preparation for the SEA Games in Hanoi, Vietnam next month.
In an official statement released on Thursday, the club stated that they have agreed to release Saddil today (Friday) so that he can train with the Indonesian team in preparation for their opening Group A match against Vietnam following recent discussions with Indonesia’s head coach Shin Tae Yong and Football Association of Indonesia technical director Indra Sjafri.
However, Saddil must report back to Sabah FC on May 10 for their domestic ties against Kelantan United in the FA Cup on May 13 and Super League match against Penang on May 7.
Sabah FC also agreed to release Saddil from May 18-June 15 for Indonesia’s 2023 Asian Cup final qualifiers scheduled to be held from May 30 -June14.
Meanwhile, the management also wished the best for Shin and the Indonesian team in their coming campaign.
