Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Government will improve the quality of train services, said Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.

“The train service is an alternative daily mode of public transport which is used by the public, including government staff, who commute between the city and Kinarut-Papar-Membakut- Beaufort.

“Thus, it is right for the Sabah Railway Department to improve its facility and services,” he said in a statement after distributing breaking of fast kits to passengers at Sembulan station, here.

Bung, who is also State Works Minister, said the department would ensure the condition at the station is more organised and conducive. Among the efforts are to create space for vendors, and a plan to provide public bus services to shuttle government servants to the station.
